WHAT IS PLUMAS

STARS?

Plumas STARS is a program that supports individuals & agencies providing early learning and care to the children of Plumas County.

Plumas STARS operates under the statewide initiative of Quality Counts California, and is funded by the California Department of Education (CDE), California Department of Social Services (CDSS), and First 5 California.

Who Can Participate?

Anyone providing early learning and care opportunities to the children of Plumas County can participate in Plumas STARS:

Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) providers
Home visiting (HV) program staff
Plumas County Library branches
License exempt program staff
Licensed family child care home staff
Licensed center based child care staff

What is a QRIS?

Plumas STARS is the local Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) for early education and care settings. The statewide QRIS is called Quality Counts California.

We provide services in Lassen, Modoc, Plumas and Sierra Counties.

About Us

Plumas Rural Services is a Northeastern California community based, non-profit organization providing services and opportunities for the well being of local residents and families to improve quality of life and self sufficiency by promoting health, education, prevention and treatment.
