Chrysalis started in 2013 as a women’s life coaching program focused on those who had transitioned out of abusive relationships – women who were out of crisis and life became more stable. It was a chance for them to think about the future and set some positive goals for a healthier life and build on their strengths.
The image of the Chrysalis is to explain the transition of a caterpillar into a butterfly – Chrysalis is a place where the caterpillar is cocooned and hidden while is transforming into another version of itself; the one that is beautiful and can fly! This program aims to provide a safe environment where you can grow, explore changes and be yourself as you transition into the next stage of life.
8 week program, 2 hour sessions; you will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the 8 week program.
Each week we will follow a series of workbook modules covering topics such as safe and supportive relationships, strength building, financial fundamentals, recognize the link between thinking, feeling and behavior, identifying balanced and healthy ways of thinking, learning the differences between passive, aggressive, and assertive behaviors, and building healthy boundaries.
Each session will have individual and group activities, and homebased work will be assigned to help you set personal goals and have some reflective home based work each week to stay focused on achieving what you want, and become more aware of what is helping or stopping you from achieving those goals.
