James Shipp,

 General Plumas Recreation & Park
District General Manager

James Shipp serves as President of the PRS Board of Directors and has been a Quincy resident for more than 30 years. A graduate of Quincy High School, where he served as Senior Class President, James has spent more than two decades working, investing, and contributing to the growth of Plumas County.

James is the General Manager of the Central Plumas Recreation and Park District (CPRPD), a role he has held since 2017. Through his leadership at CPRPD, he is committed to connecting with local families and expanding recreational opportunities that enhance the quality of life for residents of all ages.

In February 2019, James was invited to join the PRS Board of Directors. He continues to serve because of his strong belief in the organization's mission and his deep appreciation for the dedication of its employees. He is especially inspired by PRS's commitment to supporting the individuals and families it serves.
